Denise

Dr. Denise Haselwood is a Keynote Speaker and Trauma Psychologist whose focus is to inspire first responders, military and medical professionals and their leaders heal from the hidden toll of high levels of stress and trauma. With more than two decades of experience as a psychologist, instructor, coach, and mentor, she brings a rare blend of scientific expertise, real-world understanding, and playful humor to her work.

Denise earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Biola University, a master’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology from Georgia Southern University, and a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Florida International University. Her approach to speaking combines deep knowledge of how the brain and body function with experiential strategies that empower people to move beyond survival toward genuine healing.

Through her work, Denise hopes to support those—especially those on the front lines of crisis—toward reclaiming their well-being. Her message is clear: trauma is an injury, not a life sentence, and healing is not only possible but transformative. Audiences leave her sessions with practical tools, renewed hope, and the courage to face challenges with clarity and strength.
